Women at a borough care home have used their creativity to knit a selection of hats for premature babies in hospitals.
Residents at Regency Care Home in Whitefield take part in a weekly "knit and natter" group.
And they have harnessed their talent with the goal of making 100 of the hats before the end of the year which will then be donated to a hospital.
The knitting group is part of the home's activity team, which has been supporting the women with donations of wool.
Care home general manager Nichola Birkett said: “Every day is different for our residents and this group of ladies enjoy keeping busy and being able to make a difference.
"As well as knitting they regularly enjoy baking and arts and crafts.
"It is lovely to see them wanting to give back to their local community.”
