Police have issued a warning after two houses were burgled overnight.

The two burglaries happened within an hour of each other on Mountbatten Close and Douglas Walk in Whitefield in the early hours of today, Friday.

The burglary on Mountbatten Close happened at around 1.30am and the second on Douglas Walk took place at around 2.30am.

Residents have been asked to check any CCTV footage or Ring doorbell footage which could have caught any suspicious activity during these time frames.

Anyone with any information have been urged to contact police immediately.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: “Officers from the Neighbourhood Crime Team are investigating two burglaries that occurred on Mountbatten Close and Douglas Walk in Whitefield in the early hours of the 12/01/2024.

“The burglary at Mountbatten Close is believed to have occurred at around 1.30am and the burglary at Douglas Walk is believed to have occurred at around 2.30am.

“We would like to ask local residents in these areas to check any CCTV or Ring doorbell cameras for any suspicious activity around these time frames.
